BARTHOLIN (Gaspar) Institutiones Anatomicae, novis recentiorum opinionibus & observationibus Lugduni Batavorum (Leiden), Hackium, 1615. In-8 : 8f. (including engraved frontispiece and portrait of the author), 488pp. 12f. illustrated with 78 plates in and out of the text (8 of which are folding). Contemporary brown grained calf, title and gilt fillets on spine, double fillet on boards. A good copy. The Bartholin family formed a real dynasty of doctors at the University of Copenhagen and was in contact with the most famous physicians of the time.
