Autograph address from the publisher to Mr. Maubant (Henri-Polydore Maubant, French actor (1821-1902), member of the Comédie française from 1852. Professor at the Conservatoire, he had married the tragedienne Varoly). ½ brown chagrin, gilt title and irons on spine. Good copy. Attached : LOQUIN (Anatole) : Molière in Bordeaux around 1647 and in 1656. With considerable news on his last ends, in Paris in 1663, or perhaps in 1703. Paris, associated booksellers; Bordeaux, Féret et Fils; Orléans, Herluison, 1898. 2 volumes in-8. Edition of only 300 copies. ½ burgundy chagrin, ornate smooth spines, publisher's covers preserved, gilt heads.
