Leather-bound volume signed by Marius Michel HEREDIA (José-Maria de) - [MERSON (Luc-Olivier)] Les Trophées. Paris, no publisher [published at the expense of René Descamps-Scrive, by Carteret], 1907. In-4; illustrated with 50 compositions by Luc OLIVIER-MERSON, etched by Léopold FLAMENG. Limited edition of 175 copies on Marais vellum, one of the 150 numbered with Arabic numerals (this one for Georges Lamirault). Brown morocco leather signed MARIUS MICHEL, framed with bands and scrolls of havana, brown, and maroon morocco leather, and dark green morocco leather olive branches at the corners on the covers, spine with raised bands decorated in the same style, linings of dark green morocco edged and adorned with gold fillets as a border, brocaded silk endpapers, double endpapers, original cover preserved, gilt edges, in a slipcase. A very fine edition printed on behalf of Descamps-Scrive, containing a preface and two previously unpublished sonnets: “Les Rostres” and “Un nom.” Superb double binding by Marius Michel.
