Collector's item: an extremely rare 11 mm caliber Eyraud "Le Cuirassier" percussion revolver from Saint-Étienne, double-action mechanism, 165 mm round barrel, six-chamber cylinder housed in a semi-cylindrical cage engraved "Le Cuirassier," opens by rotating the barrel, top-fire, ring trigger, carved Renaissance-style stock and steel pommel, stock clamp fully engraved and stamped "Eyraud patented in St. Etienne," wear and missing parts on the muzzle, otherwise very good to excellent condition, an exceptional testament to 19th-century Saint-Étienne ingenuity and an essential link in the family of French revolvers, overall length 320 mm, France circa 1840/1850, Category D § e.
