In plano: 9 large double-page tables with explanatory leaves and 30 plates of costumes and dresses for the ceremony. Set of 72 engraved leaves richly decorated with allegorical decorations in frames. Drawings, ornaments, allegories... engraved by Cochin, Audran, Beauvais, Larmessin, Drevet, etc. Excellent condition. ½ blond calf, gilt title on spine, percaline boards, central medallion of Chevalier arms to be identified, spines cracked. A fine copy. Splendid first edition collection of this beautiful festive book entirely engraved on copper, a true monument of 18th century engraving. Represents the great moments of the coronation (Rising, King on his way to the cathedral, Arrival of the Holy Ampoule, Unctions, Coronation, Royal Feast...)
