EUSTACHIUS (Bartholomeo) Tabulae anatomicae clarissimi viri Bartholomaei Eustachii. Quas é tenbris tandem vindicatas et Clementis XI. Pont. Max Praefatione, ac notis illustravit joh. Maria Lancisius. Rome, Pagliarini, 1728. In folio : 1f., XXVIII (including allegorical portrait), 79pp. 5f. (index) ; 47 plates out of text. Minor scattered spotting, some skilful paper restoration in margins, small black stain in extreme margin at foot of some leaves. Italian binding of old stiff honey vellum, red title-piece, green publisher's piece at foot, small restorations on spine, red speckled edges. The plates were produced in the 1550s from drawings by Eustachius, but most remained unpublished until rediscovered in the 18th century when the edition appeared with notes by Lancini. Provenance: Printed bookplate Pr Vincenzo Gallucci (1935-1991).
