LEMOISNE (Paul-André) Romantic Life and Art. Gavarni, painter and lithographer. 1804-1847 et 1847-1866. Paris, Floury, 1924. 2 volumes in-4; over a hundred plates, including 8 in color. ½ long-grained burgundy morocco with corners signed DAVID, ornate ribbed spines, publisher's covers preserved, gilt edges. Complete with its 2 volumes. The first 26 pages are devoted to the trip to Bordeaux and the Pyrenees in 1824. Provenances: From the libraries of Château de La Valouze (baron de Saint-Saud) and Jacques Laget, with their bookplates.
