In folio: 4 chromolithograph plates, a map and 14 steel-engraved plates, all hors texte, and 262 woodcuts in text by GIRARDET, FRANCAIS, CATENACCI. Some minor defects.
Publisher's green chagrin, spine ribbed and decorated, headpieces torn off, spinebands rubbed, two sets of double fillets framing the boards accompanied by a large gilt garland, coat of arms of the city of Tours on boards, double gilt fillet on edges, cardboard split at the edges in places (to be restored), inner gilt garland, rubbing, gilt edges.
