ÉMILE GALLÉ (1846-1904) "Suns" vase Large horn-shaped vase on a circular overflowing base. Proof in multi-layered glass; the title decoration is acid-etched and amber-treated on a beige background - the two hearts of the flowers are represented by cabochons modeled and hot-glued; one in black glass, the other in emerald glass. One of the flowers is enriched on its background by a metallic leaf burst in between. Art Nouveau period. Signed GALLÉ, in double-line engraving, and marked Déposé, also engraved under the base. H. 35 cm Minor surface damage to the black cabochon. Public collections : Musée de l'École de Nancy - A variant form is preserved in the collections of this institution under inventory number AD 46.
