CERVANTES SAAVEDRA (Miguel de) Don Quixote of La Mancha, translated from the Spanish by Florian. Paris, Deterville; Didot aîné, Year VII (1799). 3 volumes, in-8; illustrated with 24 separate plates. Copy on fine paper. Contemporary fawn-colored leather bindings with root-stained edges, smooth, decorated spines with green title and volume labels, gold scrolls framing the covers, normal wear on the corners and edges, speckled edges. Provenance: from the library of Amédée Rigaud, honorary stockbroker in Paris, with his printed bookplate marked “R” and bearing the motto “Bona fide sine fraude”
