Paris, n.p., 1775. Two texts in one in-8 volume; engravings by MARILLIER, EISEN, and MOREAU. Bricks-red morocco with long grain on the back, decorated raised spine, black title label, triple gilt fillet framing the covers, double gilt fillet on the edges, gilt wheel on the inside. - [DORAT (Claude-Joseph)]: *Les trois frères et Combabus*, tales in verse, preceded by reflections on the tale, and followed by *Floricourt*, a French story. Amsterdam, 1765. In-8; frontispieces by EISEN and GRAVELOT. 19th-century midnight-blue morocco, decorated ribbed spine, gilt head. - IMBERT: Historiettes, or Short Stories in Verse. Amsterdam, Delalai, 1774. In-8; engraved title page, 2 plates and running heads by MOREAU Le JEUNE. Green Bradel-style percaline binding, with a burgundy title label. - D'ARNAUD: *Nancy, or The Misfortunes of Imprudence and Jealousy*, a story adapted from the English. Paris, L'Esclapart; Vve Duchesne, 1767. 8vo; frontispiece, headpieces, and tailpieces by EISEN. 19th-century midnight-blue morocco, gilt title on ribbed spine, double gilt fillet on edges, gilt edges. Provenance: Printed bookplate from the library of Amédée Rigaud bearing the motto “Bona Fide Sine Fraude.” - [DESFONTAINES]: *Les Bains de Diane, or The Triumph of Love*. Paris, Costard, 1770. In-8; engraved title page and 3 plates by MARILLIER. Green morocco binding, slightly stained on the back, gilt title on ribbed spine, blind-stamped border framing the covers, gilt fillet on the edges, gilt roulette on the inside, gilt monogram at the center of the covers, gilt edges. Provenance: Printed bookplate from the library of Amédée Rigaud bearing the motto “Bona Fide Sine Fraude.” - MONTESQUIEU: The Temple of Gnidus. New edition with illustrations. Paris, Le Mire, 1772. In-8; frontispiece portrait, engraved title page, and illustrations based on EISEN, engraved by LE MIRE. Later green morocco binding by PIERSON, decorated ribbed spine, central gilded diamond-shaped medallion, gilded fillets framing the covers, double gilded fillet on the edges, gilded interior lace, gilt edges.
