Enriched with a very large number of intaglio engravings by Sieur Pattas, with their captions. Paris, Vente, 1775. 2 volumes in-8: XVI, 190 pp.; 9 fold-out plates separate from the text / (Historical Journal of the Coronation): 39 plates of costumes separate from the text with explanatory sheets, 124 pp., 1 f. Brick-red Bradel-style endpapers signed PIERSON, black title labels and embossed fleurons on smooth spines. An account of the coronation, preceded by “Research on the Coronation of the Kings of France” compiled by Nicolas Gobet, and followed by a “Historical Journal of What Took Place at This August Ceremony” kept by Abbé Thomas-Jean Pichon (1731–1812), historiographer to Monsieur.
