First edition of this important historical, statistical, and administrative work. The first volume contains a historical study dating back to the Roman conquest, a description of the various dioceses of Languedoc, and the history of public works and canals; the second provides a very detailed study of the Aude region, including its topography, geology, descriptions of towns and villages, population, customs, agriculture, industry, commerce, fishing, etc.
