Illustration for Paradise, song 30 for Dante Alighieri's work illustrated by Salvador Dalí, The Divine Comedy, Joseph Foret, The Clear Hours (1959-1963), 1952. Watercolour and gouache on thick paper, 43 x 30.9 cm irregular. Signed and dated in watercolour below in the centre in a "Dalí / 1952" cartouche. Inscribed on the back by a third in pencil at the bottom centre "Paradiso / 30°" and at the bottom right "48". Trace of a French customs stamp on the back upper right. Print reproduced in: Field, Albert, The Official Catalog of the Graphic Works of Salvador Dalí, The Salvador Dalí Archives, New York 1996 (English), p.199, nr.ci64-03-097. This watercolour is listed in the Descharnes Archives under the number d4578_1952.
