GALLÉ ESTABLISHMENTS (1904-1936) Sea creatures also known as Witch's Claw. Spectacular flattened ovoid vase resting on an overhanging heel and with neck initially stretched with pliers at each end; tips cut off posteriorly. A multilayered glass print with double-sided decoration very deeply acid-etched; the hearts of the flowers treated with iridescent parma, the petals coloured in red, the stems and leaves, known as Witches' Fingers, appearing in very high relief and deep green on a dense, opalescent yellow background with shades of yellow. The whole decoration is cold engraved. The collar is cut off at the back of its tips and ground not original. Signed GALLÉ, in reserve engraved in acid cameo. Height: 44 cm.
