Contemporary fawn calf, spine ribbed and decorated, red title page, small lack at the head, triple gilt fillet on the boards, double gilt fillet on the edges, red edges. First edition of the Compte rendu au roi, a source of primary importance for the financial and fiscal history of France. Contains two watercolour folding maps showing the divisions of the gabelles and the traites on the French territory.
