WOLFGANG (Johann Georg) Der Königlich-Preüßischen Crönung Hochfeerliche Solemnitäten (High solemnities of the Prussian royal coronation). Berlin, se., 1712. In folio: title, A-D, E (numbered 1-17), F-I and 3 double plates added to the collection. Missing plate I. Set of 30/31 plates. ½ red 19th century chagrin, rubbing, gilt title and fillets on smooth spine, All plates loose, only one still attached to binding. Rare and beautiful collection of engravings composed as follows: A/ Portrait of the King (after Wenzel) - B/ Portrait of the Queen (after Ramondon) - C/ Proclamation of the coronation by the heralds on horseback - D/ Representation of the King and Queen, crowned and seated on their thrones of appearances; creation of the knights of the Order of the Black Eagle - E/ Coronation procession in 19 plates numbered 1 to 17 (n° 1 and 2 are double, or with 2 subjects each bearing the same numbers) - F/ Coronation of the King - G/ Public enthronement of the King and Queen - H/ Distribution to the people of the coronation hangings and the coins or medals struck on this occasion. 3 double plates added: Monbijou, pleasure house of Her Majesty the Queen of Prussia (Paul Busch, 1721) - Decorative tomb of King Frederick I (engraved by Wolfgang) - Decorative tomb of Queen Sophie-Charlotte (engraved by Wolfgang). The missing plate (noted I) shows a scene of roasted beef, stuffed with poultry, butchered by the people and fountains of wine.
