[RIVAROL (Antoine Rivaroli, known as Count Antoine de)] Political and National Journal of the Estates-General and the Revolution of 1789. Published by M. l'abbé Sabatier & drawn from the manuscript annals of M. le comte de R*** Slne. [Noyon], 1790. 2 volumes in one in-8 : 219pp. (16 n° and various pieces) - 324pp. (24 n°). Small spotting in places. ½ period fawn basane, smooth ornate spine rubbed, red title page, one bit cracked. Second edition of the first 2 subscriptions of this journal founded "by Abbé Sabatier de Castres and written almost exclusively by Antoine Rivarol. It includes the first two of the three series of this counter-revolutionary periodical; respectively 18 and 24 issues. The Journal politique-national will be republished, in 1824, under the title Mémoires, by Baudouin. "The Tacitus of the Revolution".
