Théodore BAER (18441895), FOR THE HOUSE OF BELLOIR AND VAZELLE Exhibition project of the French Yacht Club Society. Pencil, watercolor. 37 x 82 cm. Years 1870 or 1880. 400/500 € The Yacht-Club de France or Société d'encouragement de la navigation de plaisance was created in 1867 under the aegis of Napoleon III. Our exhibition project shows a very long display case filled with model boats, surmounted by the coats of arms and flags of various cities. The coat of arms of the Yacht Club is displayed above a table covered with trophies and flanked by two cannons. These same arms are repeated in a larger format in the lower part of the sheet, as well as the coats of arms of five cities (including Bordeaux).
