Red morocco of the time [PARIS - PUBLIC CELEBRATIONS] Public festivities given by the city of Paris, on the occasion of the wedding of Monseigneur le Dauphin, on February 23 and 26, 1745. Slne. [Paris], 1745. Followed by Fête publique donnée par la ville de Paris, à l'occasion du mariage de Monseigneur le Dauphin, le 13 février 1747. In plano: 11f. (including engraved title and allegorical frontispiece by Charles Hulin engraved by Le Bas) and 18 large plates, some of them with double pages. Text engraved in superb rocaille frames. Light stain in the central margin at the foot of the first simple plates. Printed on strong paper. Set mounted on tabs. Contemporary red morocco, spines skilfully restored by professional, spine rebacked, central arms of the city of Paris on boards, gilt garland with fleurons in spandrels framing the boards, gilt roulettes on the edges and inside, corners restored, gilt edges. Nice copy. First edition of this collection entirely engraved on copper from the drawings of Charles-Nicolas Cochin fils (Cohen 392-393).
