Nineteenth-century plum calf, smooth spine decorated with romantic irons, slightly unstained, small accident to headpiece, gilt filleting around boards with romantic irons in spandrels, gilt roulette at corners on edges, gilt roulette inside, slight wear, gilt edges. First edition. A fascinating work on the history of the Old and New Testaments, profusely illustrated with numerous copper engravings.
