(the last correction leaf is missing). Leaves 80 and 81 inverted, some pagination errors, leaves 195 and 196 almost absent (torn 3/4 of the way through). Small pieces of paper missing from the corners in the margins of a few leaves, light rings on a few leaves (mostly in the outer margins). Copy slightly short of margins. Old honey vellum, old traces of fastenings with ties, small skin tears on the second cover. A rare and valuable first edition, reprinted several times under different titles, which will remain the standard reference on the subject for several generations of historians. Les antiquitez de Paris is the first genuine history book on the city, the fruit of the author's constant research into the history of the city's monuments; many chapters are new compared with the 1532 edition by the same author (La fleur des antiquitez de Paris), notably on buildings erected since that date, such as the Hôtel de Ville. In fine, catalog of Paris streets, prisons, hotels, bridges... (It is in this 14f. section that 2 leaves have been torn, as well as the last correction leaf).
