Fort in-4: 12f, 1172pp, 72f, 52pp, 1f (Origines civitatis Friburgi - Chronicke des stadt Frenburg im Brisgauw); illustrated with a few figures in the text, 7 plates (4 of which folding) and a folding map of Strasbourg in 1680. Publisher's mark in fine. 11 leaves with minor traces of worm damage, with minor text damage at the beginning of the volume, light staining on 2 leaves in the foot margin, a few small scattered marginal spots. Some minor pagination errors. Copy with wide margins, untrimmed.
Tan chagrined percaline-covered boards, title handwritten on spine. Book in German.
First edition of this history of Alsace and Strasbourg, published from the manuscript of Jakob Twinger von Königshofen, historian in Strasbourg, and enlarged and commented by Johann SCHILTERN. Complete work.
