Typescript BRIET (René) - [HUNTING - FISHING - AFRICA] La Pêche en Mer à Grand-Lahou (Abidjan, l'Auteur, 1964). Typescript volume, numerous mounted photo illustrations. Autograph letter to Mr. and Mrs. Delteil. Stapled in printed covers. Also by the same author: Toute la Chasse en Côte d'Ivoire. Typescript volume, mounted photos. Autograph letter to Mr and Mrs Delteil. Stapled under printed covers. A note from the author states: "This is not the manuscript of a book on hunting... At most, it's a collection of notes, memories, anecdotes and photos I gathered during a voyage from Abidjan to Dunkirk, via Captown and Lourenzo-Marquès, in February and March 1956, aboard the cargo ship "Tessa". If one day I have the time, the inclination and... the courage, I'll try to make something more substantial out of it". - Nice, July 1956. This remarkable author "self-published" his books with the means at hand. At first glance, one might think that this was a single copy, given the diligence with which the photos were assembled, but this is not the case.
