Fawn and ½ fawn basane, smooth spines, worn bindings. Cold stamp on upper cover of one volume.
Provenances: Abel Aubert du Petit-Thouars (known as Dupetit-Thouars) (1793-1864), navigator, explorer and naval officer. Circumnavigated from 1836 to 1839 on the frigate La Vénus.
Handwritten bookplate in ink of Édouard Laboulaye (Édouard René Lefebvre de Laboulaye (1811-1883)), French jurist and politician.
