[ANONYMOUS - PAU - BÉARN] Portraits. Pau, evening of February 23, 1878. In-8, 22 leaves. Handwritten names in violet ink of the persons whose portraits are anonymous. Contemporary red calf, gilt irons and fillets on smooth spine, gilt title in center of upper board, gilt fillet framing the boards, gilt edges. A rarity and curiosity in a very confidential edition, probably intended for those who attended the 1878 palace social event. It includes the names of Clermont-Tonnerre, Mr. and Mrs. Post, Maurice de Lassence and others.
