MILFORD (John) Observations, moral, literary, and antiquarian, made during a tour through the Pyrenees, south of France, Switzerland, the whole of Italy, and The Netherlands in the years 1814 and 1815. London, Longman, Hurst, Rees, Orme, and Brown, Paternoster-Row ; and Hatchard, 1818. 2 volumes in-8 : XVI, 369pp. / IX, 1f., 282pp. A few decorative plates. Some leaves browned, minor disgorgement of vignettes. Contemporary glazed blond calf, ornate smooth spines, black titles and endpapers, one headband fractured, one spine split, gilt roulette framing the boards, gilt roulette on the corners, marbled edges. Rare after Labarère. The work is described after Duloum (Les Anglais dans les Pyrénées) (Labarère 1054). Provenance: Printed bookplate of M. Magloire.
