Barthou glued to white endpaper and signed by Foch, Henry de Régnier, Poincaré, Louis Barthou, Maurice Druon, René Boylesve, etc., among others. Midnight-blue morocco lined with burgundy morocco signed MARIUS MICHEL, gilt title on spine, frieze of laurel branches in green and brown morocco and set in gold, 6 gilt fillets on covers, silk endpapers with star motifs, double marbled paper endpapers, publisher's cover preserved, gilt edges. Protective slipcase slightly rubbed. A very fine copy.
