Usual brown spots. Not collated. Contemporary ½ red chagrin, gilt title and fillets on spine, wear rubs. "Textual reprint of the Furne edition (1842-1848), but augmented with a notice by George Sand, a portrait of Balzac and three volumes forming volumes XVIII, XIX, XX".
