In folio: 12f, 552pp, 39f (table). Minor angular restorations on a few leaves.
Contemporary fawn calf, restored and repositioned spine, restored boards, large central gilt medallion on boards.
This work deals exclusively with conjugal law and the status of women.
This treatise had a definite influence on Rabelais, who drew from it most of the material for his Tiers-Livre, whose central theme is whether or not Panurge should take a wife.

In folio: 14f, 301pp; one engraving (Arbor civilis) on 3/4 page. Reinforcements and repairs to a few leaves in fine, light rings and stains in places, traces of worms on the first few leaves, old handwritten annotations in the margins, raised quires. Letters on wood.
Contemporary turned leather, spine ribbed, cover repairs, binding weak at bottom (unbound leaves).

In folio: 504pp, 16f. Light half-tone, black ink stain at head, small paper reinforcement on a few leaves (not collated).
Very worn contemporary fawn basane, spine missing, leather missing from boards, corners missing, gilt diamond-shaped iron on boards. As is.

In folio: 29f., 2135pp. 11f. Large light rings, small angular paper losses at foot of some leaves, last leaves very damaged.
Tan granulated basane, spine ribbed, rubbed and worn.
- PAPON (Jean): Instrument du premier notaire. Lyon, de Tournes, 1576.
In folio: 16f, 755pp, 22f. Work worn, wide rings, paper weakened at edges, paper reinforcements on part of leaves (not collated).
Antique soft vellum, handwritten title on spine, minor skinning. As is.
