Black basane, spine ribbed and decorated, central gilt arms of Amadeo de Launet, rubbing and minor wear, super-libris Amadeo de Launet at foot. First edition. Saffroy (III, 45992) attributes the work to the author's son (Louis-Nicolas-Henri, also known as Louis-Nicolas-Hyacinthe). Provenances: From the libraries of the Marquisat de Beauvau with his printed bookplate, Charles de Launet with his gilded coat of arms and printed bookplate, and Amadeo Delaunet with his printed bookplate and wet stamp. Amadeo Delaunet y Esnaola (1885-1958) in San Sebastian, bibliophile, genealogist (specializing in the great families of the Basque Country) and correspondent of the Royal Academy of History. His library was sold at auction on April 17 and 18, 2015 in Paris.
