MURRAY (James Erskine) A Summer in the Pyrenees. London, Macrone, 1837. 2 volumes in-8: XII, 342pp. / VI, 316pp. ; 12 plates hors texte in intaglio, most after PINGRET (stains around spine). Minor scattered spotting. Contemporary ½ black calf with corners, spine ribbed and decorated, brown title-pieces, rubbing and small bumps from use, marbled edges. First edition, republished in 1842. The pagination error was corrected in a second printing of the original. There was another edition in the same year as the original, reported by Labarère. The publisher announced that a third volume, "if published", was to be devoted to the Basque Country, "but it has'nt been published" (Labarère 1082).
