Edition of 1050 copies, one of 900 on tinted Arches (n°307). ½ green filleted chagrin with corners signed FLAMMARION, lightened ornate ribbed spine, publisher's printed cover retained, gilt head. Very careful edition. This is a new edition of the "Observations Faites dans les Pyrénées", with the exception of chapters VII, IX and part of chapter VIII of the original edition. Copious preface by MONGLOND occupies almost half the volume. There is a very rare offprint of this work comprising only "La Jeunesse de RAMOND" published in 1927 at 30 copies. He would later use this preface to add to the other "Jeunesses" he published in 1933. At the same time - but not in the same format - the Section des Pyrénées Centrales of the C.A.F. in Toulouse, under the leadership of Henri Beraldi, published "Observations sur les Alpes", which followed the translation of Coxe's work.
