Interesting work by the son of the philosopher from La Brède. It was out of respect for his father that he refrained from using the name Montesquieu. He himself published various memoirs on electricity (1746), the navy (1756), oak, woods, vines etc. (1785). His other works are devoted to the mineral waters of the Pyrenees and Aquitaine.
