Edouard CABANE (1857- 1942 ?) Knitter Oil on canvas, signed and dated 1888 lower right. 98.5 x 68 cm. Exhibition: Société des Amis des Arts de Bordeaux, 1889, no. 102. Trained in Paris by Robert-Fleury and Bouguereau, Édouard Cabane debuted at the Salon in 1881 and was awarded the Second Grand Prix de Rome in 1884.
