L’ensemble des œuvres composant cette vente a été présenté à Madame Céline LEVY, directrice de la Galerie Maurice GARNIER, directrice du Fonds de Dotation Bernard BUFFET et Membre du SFEP.

À cette occasion, ces œuvres ont été répertoriées et enregistrées dans les archives de la Galerie. Le titre, le numéro d’archive et le tampon de la Galerie Maurice GARNIER ont été apposés et inscrits au dos de chaque toile. Le titre et le numéro d’archive ont été inscrits au dos de chaque feuille, à l'exception des deux papiers calque.

Un certificat pourra être délivré aux acquéreurs directement par Madame Céline LEVY, directrice du Fonds de Dotation Bernard BUFFET, sur demande et à leurs charges, excepté pour les lithographies, gravures, esquisses, travaux préparatoires et documents de travail (numéros 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 20, 22, 23, 24, 25, 30, 31, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38, 39, 40, 43, 44, 46, 47, 48, 49, 50, 51, 53, 57, 58, 59, 60, 61, 62 et 63 de la vente), ces derniers étant néanmoins répertoriés en tant qu’élément d’archive dans les archives de la Galerie Maurice GARNIER.

Il est précisé également que certaines oeuvres ont été signées par Bernard BUFFET postérieurement à leurs créations.

Enfin, une marque en caractère chinois est apposée sur certaines oeuvres. Elle correspond à un cachet personnel de l’artiste que ce dernier aurait reçu à Pékin lors d'un voyage avec Hugues Alexandre TARTAUT en avril/mai 1995. Il s’agit de la traduction en chinois du nom de Bernard BUFFET.

Ce dernier est composé de trois caractères chinois dit « zhuan shu », un style d’écriture calligraphique régulièrement utilisé pour les cachets personnels. Ils se lisent de droite à gauche et de bas en haut.

Conditions of sale

Payment is due immediately after the sale. All the property is sold in the condition in which it is offered for sale. No claim can be accepted after the fall of the hammer. All prospective buyers shall have the opportunity to inspect each lot for sale during the pre-sale exhibition in order to satisfy them selves as to characteristics, size, colours, repairs or restoration. Condition reports and additional photos can be sent on request. Any possible modifications in the conditions of sale or in the descriptions of the catalog will be announced verbally during the sale and noted on the official report. The successful purchaser will be the highest bidder and will beo bliged to give his or her name and address. In case of contesting at the time of awarding, that is if two or more bidders simultaneously carried an equivalent bid, either aloud, or by sign and demand at the same time this object after the pronouncement of the "awarded/adjugé" word, the afore mentioned object will immediately be handed in auction to the proposed price by the bidders and the public will be allowed to bid again.

BUYER’S PREMIUM AND PAYMENT

We may require a financial reference and/or a security deposit before allowing you to participate in the auction.

If we determine that you do not meet our bidder identification and registration procedures — including, but not limited to, any anti-money laundering and/or counter-terrorism financing checks we may request — we may refuse to register you, and if you are the successful bidder, we may cancel the sale.

In addition to the hammerprice, the buyer shall pay on each lot a buter's premium equal to 28 % VAT included (23,33 % VAT not included)

Payment is due immediately after the sale:

- Bank wiretransfer in Euros (BRISCADIEU’s account number on the invoice).

- Cash in Euros : for French resident (private or professionals) to an equal or lower amount of € 1 000 per sale (but to an amount of € 15 000 for a non-

French resident), bayer’s premium included.

NON-PAYMENT - AUCTION ACCESS RESTRICTION FILE (TEMIS)

All auction sales invoices remaining unpaid after BRISCADIEU BORDEAUX and/or Me Antoine BRISCADIEU or subject to delays in payment may be added to the Auction Access Restriction File ("TEMIS File") maintained by Commissaires-Priseurs Multimédia (CPM), public limited company with executive board, with registered office at 37 Rue de Châteaudun, 75009 Paris, listed on the Paris Trade and Companies Register under number 437 868 425. The TEMIS File may be viewed by all France-based auctioneers who subscribe to this service. The list TEMIS Service subscribers is available to view at , in the dropdown menu "Acheter aux enchères" (Buy at auctions), under "Les commissaires-priseurs" (Auctioneers). Bidders listed on the TEMIS File may face restrictions on their bidding activity at auctions operated by auctioneers with a Professional Subscription to the TEMIS service. BRISCADIEU BORDEAUX and/or Me Antoine BRISCADIEU Auction House cannot be held liable for errors or omissions of anykind in the handling of orders. A bidding form can be found at the end of the catalogue. Please fill this form and attach bank account details and a copy of your identity card or passport. BRISCADIEU BORDEAUX and/or Me Antoine BRISCADIEU Auction House reserve the right not to record an absentee bid if it is not complete or if we consider that the client does not offer all the guarantees for the deals; without any possible recourse. DELIVERY, TRANSPORT& STORAGE FEES

Once the hammer falls, the new buyer becomes the owner and so becomes responsible for the lot. We do not assume any liability for loss or damage to items which may occur after the hammer falls. Please note that purchases can only be collected after payment in full.

IMPORTANT: From the 13th day of the sale, the lots sold will be stored in the MAURAN transport warehouses.

Collection by appointment or delivery anywhere in France (on presentation of the paid delivery note) : Transport Mauran : 166 bis Avenue des Marronniers 33700 Mérignac (20 minutes from Bordeaux Centre, 15 minutes from the ring road). Contact: contact@ transportmauran.fr. Give 48 hours notice.

Small purchases are held on free deposit at the auction house for 12 days. In addition, storage costs will be charged: Object, table or Wine box: 20 €/month.

We do not proceed to any shipping.

For people who bought by telephone, via absentee bid or live, items can be sent : for this service, please contact the company mentioned on your invoice which will be in charge of the packaging and the shipment.

Buyers are invited to organize themselves the shipping if they don’t agree with these conditions.
