Attributed to Charles MARTIN (Paris 1562-1646)* - Lot 73
Attributed to Charles MARTIN (Paris 1562-1646)* Portrait of King Henry IV in armor Canvas. 190 x 102 cm. (Old restorations). In a molded and gilded wooden frame. Our painting, which perhaps finds its original iconography in Jacob Bunel (1558-1614), would constitute a clever counterpart to the portrait of Catherine de Medici holding a medallion of King Henri IV sold at Me Pillet on 1.07.2018 (canvas 196 x 112cm). We thank Alexandra Zvereva for her help in describing this painting.
